Interesting article in the American College of Sports Medicine Journal regarding strength training  and that it helps improve glucose tolerance.

So not just aerobic exercise helps improve IGM (impaired glucose metabolism), but strength training does too.  They studied the data on 5,831 adults  in Australia.  This is with strength training just twice a week can help you too.  

Sounds good to me because I know there are also many studies that show that strength training helps peoplle with arthritis as well.
